WCSH (Portland, ME) has ordered NewsTicker for their local ticker and edge
graphics. They join fifteen other Gannett stations as a NewsTicker client, including:
WUSA (Washington, DC),
WXIA and WATL (Atlanta),
KPNX (Phoenix),
KARE (Minneapolis),
WKYC (Cleveland),
KXTV (Sacramento),
KSDK (St. Louis),
WZZM (Grand Rapids, MI),
WFMY (Greensboro, NC),
WTLV and WJXX (Jacksonville, FL),
WGRZ (Buffalo, NY),
WBIR (Knoxville, TN),
and WMAZ (Macon, GA).
"Beyond technology, we offer Gannett service to ensure they can continue to leverage
their investment in Newsroom for years to come," said Rick Summers, Newsroom's Vice
President for Sales and Marketing. "We hear stories from other groups that they've
purchased a CG that will do everything for them, but there isn't the service component
in place that ensures it will continue to work and grow with the stations. Their
investment immediately begins depreciating, whereas an investment in Newsroom
Solutions immediately appreciates."
WCSH is owned by Gannett Co. Inc. (NYSE: GCI). Gannett Broadcasting
operates 23 television stations reaching 21-million households.
Gannett publishes 82 daily newspapers in the U.S. including USA TODAY, the
nation's leading newspaper in print circulation.
