Raycom's WMC and WAFF Select NewsTicker and the FreedomHD
April 16, 2007

Raycom-owned WMC (Memphis, TN) and WAFF (Huntsville, AL) have purchased NewsTicker, the industry-leading local ticker display system. Both NBC affiliates will use Newsroom's cutting-edge FreedomHD graphics platform to display NewsTicker's integrated suite of ticker and master control branding.

In addition to the standard NewsTicker content management platform, both stations have purchased the integrated school closings and election reporting modules.

With the addition of WMC and WAFF, NewsTicker has been purchased in 40% of Raycom stations for everything from ticker and master control branding, to school closings and severe weather.

"We are thrilled with the rate at which Raycom stations are purchasing NewsTicker," said Rick Summers, Newsroom's Vice President for Sales and Marketing. "From the corporate level on down, they understand how to fully leverage the NewsTicker and Freedom platform to differentiate themselves in each market, and not look like all of their competitors."

Raycom Media, Inc. is an employee-owned company and one of the nation's largest broadcasters. They currently own and operate 42 television stations in 18 states. Raycom stations cover more than 10.6% of U.S. television households and employ 3,500 individuals in full and part-time positions.
