WLNE (Providence, RI) has purchased NewsTicker, powered by Newsroom's
advanced, digital FreedomSD.
The ABC-affiliate is part of the Rhode Island Broadcasters Association
centralized school-closings initiative, also powered by NewsTicker Closings.
With the NewsTicker broadcast engine and the Freedom's display engine, WLNE
is able to produce a real-time school closing display, unique to the market.
WLNE is owned by Global Broadcasting, a year-old media company
operated by industry veterans Kevin O'Brien and Robinson Ewert.
