KOAA Purchases NewsTicker, Closings, Elections and SevereWx
October 8, 2007

KOAA (Pueblo, CO) joins sister stations WLEX (Lexington, KY), KPAX (Missoula, MT) and KTVQ (Billings, MT) in selecting NewsTicker for their ticker, school closings, election reporting, severe weather and branding needs.

The Cordillera Communications-owned NBC affiliate is the third station in the Colorado Springs/Pueblo, CO market to purchase NewsTicker.

"The fact that there are often multiple NewsTicker installations in the same market, yet all of the stations look unique, is a testament to the flexibility within NewsTicker and the Freedom," said Rick Summers, Newsroom's Vice President for Sales and Marketing. "That's an advantage you don't find with some other vendors."

Cordillera Communications owns 13 television stations in 11 markets reaching 2% of US households. Of the ten stations that originate local news, all are ranked first place demographically in at least some of their local news program markets. Cordillera stations have consistently exhibited a strong commitment to community service and quality local news.
