WSWG Becomes Nineteenth Gray-Owned Station to Purchase NewsTicker
July 13, 2007

WSWG (Albany, GA) has standardized on the industry-leading NewsTicker platform for news and branding, becoming the nineteenth Gray Television station to make the switch. As part of the purchase, sister-station WCTV (Tallahassee, FL) upgraded their existing graphics platform to the FreedomHD.

"While WSWG is the CBS affiliate for the Albany, GA market, they also serve as a semi-satellite for WCTV," said Rick Summers, Newsroom's Vice President for Sales and Marketing. "WCTV has depended on NewsTicker for more than three years, and the WSWG purchase is a sign of their continued trust in Newsroom Solutions. After three years, when many products start to become stale, WCTV shows they would be willing to buy it all over again."

Gray Television, Inc. (NYSE: GTN), headquartered in Atlanta, operates a total of 36 primary stations and seven multi-cast digital channels. They are focused on providing quality news and entertainment services in the local markets they serve, as well as committing to local interests in those markets.
