New Vision Television's WIAT (Birmingham, AL) selects NewsTicker,
the market-leading information platform, powered by Newsroom's integrated
Freedom graphics environment.
WIAT joins sister-station KIMT (Mason City, IA) as a NewsTicker
client.
"We are an efficient station with a fast-growing news operation," said
Scott Sarkisian, Assistant Chief Engineer at WIAT. "We needed a system that
would solve some problems but not burden our existing resources. NewsTicker
strikes the right balance between automation and integration, while also
opening a new revenue stream."
New Vision Television, now in its third incarnation, was formed in 2006.
They own (or have pending sales with) four network-affiliated stations.
New Vision's predecessors have owned and operated numerous stations across
the country dating back to 1993. They are headquartered in Atlanta. HBK
Investments L.P. is New Vision's equity partner and CIT Group Inc. is its
debt partner.
